In Northern Kenya’s most remote pastoral regions, access to health care and clean water is not guaranteed. Pastoralist Concern Kenya works to change that permanently — delivering sustainable, community-managed health and WASH services that endure long after project cycles end.
Nomadic pastoralist communities in Kenya’s ASAL counties face extreme challenges in accessing basic health and water services. Their mobility, distance from facilities, and the structural under-resourcing of the region combine to create one of the most acute service gaps in the country. PCK addresses this through integrated, community-centred programmes that bring services to communities rather than waiting for communities to reach facilities.
Health & Food Security
PCK delivers integrated health and food security interventions designed for the unique mobility and vulnerability of pastoral communities — going beyond fixed facilities to reach communities where they live and move. We provide access to basic health care, nutrition services, and emergency response capacity that is genuinely accessible to nomadic families.

WASH — Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Clean water is a human right. PCK provides sustainable, community-managed WASH services ensuring that the infrastructure we build is owned, operated, and maintained by the communities themselves long after external funding ends. We protect water sources, construct critical infrastructure, and deploy renewable-energy water systems.
